Knock-up Ceilings

This application includes the installation of 6.4mm ŽRhinoBoard which is fixed to a timber or steel brandering structure. The joints are then finished with an Aluzink M-strip. These installations are characteristically accompanied by standard ŽRhino cornices.

Suspended Ceilings

Suspended ceilings are commonly used in Office Blocks, Malls & Show Rooms. This installation normally includes the use of an exposed T-Grid system which is suspended from a previous ceiling or the actual concrete slab area (base). Ceiling tiles (available in various finishes & acoustic properties) are then positioned into the framework creating a tiled grid effect.

Plaster Ceilings

This application is generally used in residential installations wherein 9.5mm ŽRhinoBoard is affixed to a timber or steel brandering system. The ŽRhinoBoard is then plastered with RhinoLite which creates a very level & flush plastered appearance. These types of installations are usually accompanied by highly decorative moulded cornices.

Bulkheads

Bulkheads are used in diverse commercial & residential applications where there is a necessity to enclose certain existing fixtures or to simply enhance the aesthetic significance of a ceiling. Bulkheads can be installed in optional shapes & sizes.

Moulded Cornices

Foremost trends highlight the use and installation of moulded cornices in conjunction with plastered ceilings. Moulded cornices are largely used for its decorative significance which creates a well rounded off result. Again, there are many variations in this product as far as range & design is concerned. Be sure to make a distinction between locally produced moulds vs. imported moulds as noteworthy quality differences exists.

Profiled Skirtings & Architraves

We supply & install a large variety of profiled skirtings & architraves. Profile heights of up to 400mm can be manufactured and installed.

Skimming

Skimming entails the application of ŽRhinoLite or ŽRhinoGlide to a ceiling or drywall to produce a fully plastered finish or as an alternative to skim board joints only (depends on the nature of the project). ŽRhinoLite is also commonly used to plaster onto cement walls to ensure a perfect flush finish to your interior walls.

Drywall Partitioning

Drywall partitioning is an effective method to divide open areas into smaller rooms by the use of a stud & track system onto which 9.5mm or 12.5mm ŽRhinoBoard is affixed to. The joints are usually plastered with ŽRhinoGlide to ensure an even finish, ultimately creating a false wall. The advantage hereof is that it can be an impermanent fitting & detached at a later point. It is also a great deal cleaner and exceptionally quick to install when compared to that of a conventional brick wall. The use of drywall partitioning is very typical in Office, Industrial & Commercial installations.
